Remote Video Production (RVP)

Capture 4K video remotely with support from a professional director without the additional cost of an on-location crew.

User-friendly production kits allow for recording up to 4K using multiple angles and multiple subjects simultaneously through the use of smartphones, tablets, or computers with included off-camera lighting and high-quality audio.

When recording is finished, files are uploaded to the cloud where we provide a download link for your team.

Need assistance with editing? Our team will professionally edit the content for you including intros, lower thirds, motion graphics, and background music. We include 3 revisions with each project and once it's complete, we'll transfer the file to you for distribution on your social media, website or anywhere else you want to put it.

Benefits of RVP

  • 60% Cost Savings: Remote video production eliminates the need for costly travel and lodging expenses, which can result in significant savings.

  • Increased Flexibility: Remote video production allows teams to work from anywhere in the world, increasing flexibility and potentially assisting with scheduling and workflow.

  • Reduced logistical challenges: Traditional video production involves various logistical challenges, such as coordinating schedules, securing locations, and managing equipment. Remote video production minimizes these challenges, as team members can work from their own setups and collaborate virtually.

  • Access to a Larger Talent PoolBecause the location is no longer a factor, remote video production allows for access to a larger pool of talent. This can lead to higher-quality output.

  • Increased Productivity: Remote work environments often provide individuals with the flexibility to work during their most productive hours. This can lead to higher productivity levels and improved quality of work. Additionally, remote collaboration tools and platforms enhance communication and project management, facilitating smoother workflows.

  • Environmental sustainability: Remote video production reduces the carbon footprint associated with travel and physical production setups. With fewer transportation requirements and resource consumption, remote production contributes to a more sustainable approach to video creation.

The Process

Remote video production works by using technology and communication tools to collaborate and produce video content remotely. Here are the basic steps involved in remote video production:

  1. Pre-production: The first step in remote video production is planning and pre-production. This involves defining the concept and goals of the video project, scripting, storyboarding, creating shot lists, and selecting the necessary equipment and software.

  2. Remote Filming: Filming can be done remotely with the use of smartphones, webcams, or remote-controlled cameras. The camera operator may be remote or on-location depending on the setup. The filming can be coordinated via video conferencing tools like Zoom or Skype, with the crew providing direction remotely.

  3. Remote Editing: Once the footage is captured, it can be uploaded to the cloud or shared via file transfer services to an editor, who can then work on the footage remotely using video editing software. Collaboration between the editor and other members of the team can take place through video conferencing, screen sharing, or shared project files.

  4. Review and Feedback: The edited video can be shared with the team for review and feedback, which can be done through video conferencing or using cloud-based review and approval tools.

  5. Delivery: Once the video is finalized, it can be delivered to the client or audience through online platforms such as Vimeo or YouTube, or via file transfer services.

Overall, remote video production relies heavily on communication tools, cloud storage, and collaborative software to work effectively. The process is designed to enable collaboration and coordination between team members who may be located in different locations, making it a more flexible and cost-effective option for video production.
